Shop with SheriffsThe Lee County Sheriff’s Office has invited Spring Creek Elementary to participate in their annual “Shop with Sheriff’s” Holiday Essay Contest! It will look a little different this year.

The contest will be offered to all students, Kindergarten through 5th grade, with one winner being chosen from Kindergarten through 5th grade (6 total winners). The winners will create a wish list at Target, select what they want and they will do a Drive-Up Pick-Up.

The topic of this year’s essay will be, “If you could invent something to help the community, what would it be and why” The essay will consist of one paragraph; drawing a picture is also an option for Kindergarten and 1st grade students.

The essays need to be completed and handed in by the afternoon on Monday, November 16th. They will then be read by the members of the Community Policing Unit who will choose one winner per grade level. After the winners are chosen, a member of the Community Policing Unit will notify Mrs. Sherman.

K-5th grade winners will be able to create a Target Wish List and be able to pick up their items before our Holiday Break.

This is a wonderful event to promote education and community involvement and to create positive interactions between today’s youth and law enforcement officials.
