Dear SCE Families,
We did it! Another successful school year is in the books, and I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your dedication, partnership, and commitment to your child's education. Your support has played a tremendous role in making this year a success, and we are grateful for all you do.
As we look ahead to next school year, we are excited to offer a new opportunity for our students. SCE is partnering with Art Bonita in the 26-27 school year to provide a Performing Arts program during the school day through a PE Waiver option.
Students who enroll in this program will attend a performing arts class in lieu of their traditional PE class during the first semester. This unique experience will allow students to explore creativity, build confidence, develop performance skills, and engage in hands-on arts instruction.
Please note that enrollment is limited to about 20 students per grade level and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are interested in having your child participate, we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible.
Below is a brief overview of what the program will include:
Arts Bonita’s Educational Initiative at Spring Creek Elementary is a semester-long, immersive arts education program designed to build confidence, self-esteem, communication skills, and creative thinking while reinforcing classroom learning. Through an engaging combination of drama, improv, visual and digital arts, and movement/dance, students explore core academic subjects in dynamic and meaningful ways that encourage participation, collaboration, and self-expression.
By integrating the school curriculum into hands-on artistic experiences, the program transforms traditional learning into an interactive process that helps students retain information more effectively, strengthen social and emotional skills, and develop critical-thinking abilities. Whether through storytelling, performance, creative design, or digital projects, students are encouraged to discover their unique voices while building teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills in a supportive and fun environment.
